In today’s stormy financial markets, Tropical Financial Credit Union of South Florida provides a safe haven for our members.

For more than 70 years, Tropical has taken a conservative approach to lending and investment, making sound decisions on behalf of our member-owners. We stayed away from the subprime lending market and did not invest in exotic, high-risk securities.

As a result, we have a healthy balance sheet with very few problem loans. In fact, we are just one of two Florida credit unions on Bauer Financial’s “recommended” list based on the national rating service’s evaluation of our capital strength.

Let me also point out that our members’ funds are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) up to $250,000 following the passage of the U.S. Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. That means your savings are protected by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government.
