Enrolling in Internet Banking is easy - here's how:
If you do not know your HomeBranch Personal Identification Number or need assistance, please call 305-261-8328 from Miami-Dade County or 888-261-8328 from all other areas.
Please be aware that there is a new widespread variation of a ‘phishing’ scheme known as ‘Vishing’ targeting credit unions that uses an automated phone message stating, "Your VISA debit card has been placed on hold for credit / debit purchases. Please call 888 848-8239 to activate your card or press 1 to be transferred." Upon calling the number, victims are prompted to activate their card by first entering their 16-digit card number, expiration date, CVV number, and PIN.
Be Aware!
Vishing operates like phishing by persuading consumers to divulge their Personally Identifiable Information, claiming their account was suspended, deactivated, or terminated. Recipients are directed to contact their financial institution via telephone number provided in the message. Upon calling the telephone number, the recipient is greeted with "Welcome to the bank of ..." and then requested to enter their card and PIN numbers in order to resolve a pending security issue or other discrepancy.
If you have a question concerning your account or credit/debit card, you should contact your financial institution using a telephone number obtained independently such as; from your statement, a telephone book, or other independent means.
If you have received this, or a similar hoax, please file a complaint www.ic3.gov. The IFCC is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the National White Collar Crime Center.
If you responded to such a message and provided any confidential account information, please contact us immediately.
